so is your issue “modern day references” or is it chronically online ppl appropriating aave? Because one of those requires you to assume the translator’s race which is. Pretty yuck tbh.
Nobody is assuming the translators race ( also black ppl can also misuse aave btw) I just don’t like when I reading something and modern day culture appears
