The thing that baek dam hates about yeon il is that why he handle his anger and mistreatment all the time

Its always the redemption arc and i also think that they were friends in elementary or idk, but it seems like Baek Dam became the light of Yeon Il (also idk remember if there was a scene of it but Yeon Il said that Baek Dam paid attention to yeon il and that what made yeon il like him
Yeon-il consider the bullying, mistreatment , interest , the obsession of baek dam to watch yeon-il all the time (that's how he knew about yeon-il drinking issues)
Yeon-il considered that as "ATTENTION" in a negative way , he wasn't saying it in a positive way , like even if you were mistreating me but you were at least giving me attention, because yeon-il was neglected all his life ...

Omg, i didnt thpught of ot like that, i just thought it was the same as Boy Meets Girl, where Cheulho was neglected by his mom and dad, and that the rabbit and Jintae was his only lifeline before everything snaps, i thought it kinda rang a bell so unconsciously paired the two.
Why is the bottom such a bitch bro like what did the top do to make him bully him that much. Like it can't be that serious to make the bottom abuse his power. And why TF is the top so obsessed with the person that bullied him??
