I personally think the fl would not like it if the ml scolded those men.. It seems he was only gonna act when things got dangerous. In the end both him and her knew this was a place where she could prove herself to everyone, and I’m pretty sure he knew she could handle it lol

He still could have made an effort to stop their remarks though, but that wouldn’t stop them from harboring those thoughts (unlike a direct confrontation with the fl would) so im not too mad about it if it meant actual change
