This is my opinion on this story so if u dont like it then idrc cus youre not gonna change it.
Anyways I just binge read S1 of Jinx (for the first time) it took me 6 hrs and before yall say i have no life or whatever cus I do, I binge read S1 at night. I read it at 11pm and right now it is 5:50-6:20(i actually finished like 20-25 minutes ago while the sun was rising) and also before yall talk abt how i pulled an all nighter to read this story. I have insomnia and a fucked up sleep schedule and have been pulling all nighters for the past 5 days. so what its the summer and I still am productive in the morning and throughout the day(i just take naps throughout) ANYWAYS it took me a while to succumb to reading Jinx because of all the mixed opinions I’ve seen online and hearing abt the fact that it has a lot of smut(I’m not a smut enjoyer but still read stories that have it, I just trying reading ones that dont involve it as much or at all) and I get bored of stories really easily. But it was night, I was bored and I obviously couldn’t sleep and had nothing to read so I read Jinx to give it a try. OPINION- it’s not a bad story like I know Jaekyung is lowkey an ass and I get really pissed off at him like almost all the time, But the plot is just really good. And yall need to admit it, cus some of you haters have the audacity to say the plot was bad even though yall read all the way to the end of S1, that I’m right about the plot being good cs why tf read to the end of S1 if it wasnt. Plus the amount of hate it’s getting is bizarre. I already knew ppl hated it for valid reasons but there are a bunch of other stories that are way worse than this bruh, and yall sugarcoat it for idk what reason. Like imma be real honest I would’ve dropped this story for many reasons but for one factor to keep me reading this story was literally the plot. Like I would’ve dropped this before i reached chapter 5 thinking Jaekyung was an ass ( he is ) and that the characters were horribly written. But since the plot kept on leading me to read more of the story. I can seriously tell how good the characters were written. Like a lot of people hate Jaekyung (idrc abt him cus hes not even real) but you gotta admit even though his character is rude it is well written and since I binged the S1 with a few spoilers online. I could really see that there’s gonna be some major foreshadowing in season 2. The author i obviously not half-assing this story cus they seem to have written these characters really well and is able to make an interesting story out of it.
Anyways im not justifying Jaekyung’s actions but the author obviously wrote him off as a bitch to build plot to the story and for him to have a major character development and possibly have a satisfying chasing arc. Plus the art is really good, the facial expressions that were illustrated also lead me to read to the most recent chapter. Anyways i lowkey kinda yapped but if you got a problem then u shouldnt have read this anyways cus i alrdy put a disclaimer.
