I can't help but dislike him for treating her literally like shit, worse than an object. He only 'uses' her when it's convenient for him and he'll rape her (he basically throws her on bed and penetrates her) and she'll just accept it despite the pain it causes her because she doesn't understand what is being done to her and considers it 'affection'. He often calls her 'it' then pretends she doesn't exist once one of his dating partners appears. Trauma or not, this doesn't justify his horrible personality. I don't care if he gets obsessive later, he still remains a selfish, piece of trash. Too bad, i really loved the premise. Sadly, his misogynistic personality is unbearable to me, even for a toxic, dark romance story.
