Yeah despite the cover I briefly held out hope, but it didn't last very long. This is why I appreciate when the first people who appear are the leads
I have this thing where I imprint on the first characters I see and want them to end up together (even if I don't necessarily like them), so it's always annoying when the actual lead appears later in the chapter. I now want blondie to pair up with her black-haired friend but it was not meant to be ;-;
