I didn't like Cain for most of the series but I couldn't help but like him a bit in those last two chapters showing his progress. I love his positivity after that massive heartbreak. I love that he doesn't repeat the same mistakes that Jooin made, he doesn't jump onto the next and uses them as a distraction or an escape from his pain. He takes his time to let go of Jooin without rushing himself to be over it.He also doesn't hold a grudge towards Jooin for never loving him and eventually not choosing him. Personally I think no one has the no right to dictate who someone should love even when they don't agree with the person's choices. I love that he respects jooins boundaries and doesn't reach out directly after being rejected. I think he knew Jooin was happy without him but I think he still wanted reassurance and closure. It's a beautiful farewell fitting for him. I like to think that with all the twisted feelings that came with loving Jooin deep down he always wanted Jooin to be happy even if it was without him. If we ever get side stories of him I hope he has decentered Jooin and is moving towards his own happiness.
