I think this is a possibility. He'll end up only heavily injuring or crippling ML and then leave. Then ML will come find him and they get their happy end. I really hope this doesn't end in tragedy

If he doesn’t go through with the plan he’ll never get revenge and betray his family. But if he does follow through then he’ll avenge his family but lose his life and kill the person he has feelings for. Like what is he supposed to do? Falling in love isn’t going to solve his problems because then he’ll always feel guilt and shame. He’s fucked no matter what he does.
