Does the novel also ends with him getting pregnant? Because I feel like all this world building was for nothing, we didn't see him becoming a renowned healer nor the everlasting effects of him teaching modern medicine. Also Gail and Douglas being great adventurers but we don't get to see them in action. I really want to like this but it just feel like it's supposed to have more
