I feel like he was probably holding it so that once they found the scumbag he would have to work to pay it of to them also so taeju had a valid reason to keep looking for him (please tell me this makes sense)
That's what I thought too. He was going to make the father pay his debt. But, he should have changed the contract and took Euihyun's name off of it.
Was his name in it or did it just go to him because he’s a “relative”?
Im wondering why taeju didn't erase the debt euihyun own though? Why let it sit for so long that it leads to them kidnapping euihyun, I think it wouldn't escalate to that if taeju just erase or maybe private the records so that euihyun wouldn't be in danger
