Yeah everything you said is what bugs me about the seme. I enjoy enemies to lovers when both parties behave equally bad, but bullying accusations just cause a guy checked you out is out of line.
It'd be better if the bullying thing was a misunderstanding, like if the other freshmen asked if the MC was OK since they seemed friendly, and he grimaces and goes "yeah... suuuper friendly." And ppl make their own assumptions from there. Then when mc confronts him, he doesn't deny it cause it was kind of his fault and he's too stubborn to back down.
Yeah it's just so wild cause he was mad MC might be gay and then a chapter later after realizing he needs a new fwb he is bricked up and basically licking MC's ear. The math just doesn't math.
I don't think seme's actually trying to sleep with him at the moment. I assumed that he's doing it to fuck with him in retaliation for mc's weeks long harrassment campaigne. Like he flirts with him a bit, gets mc to make a move, then goes ~neener neener I thought you said you weren't gay ~. But obviously this will backfire horribly on him and he'll gay chicken his way into mc's bed

I got told to “cry about it” when I questioned how little this plot makes sense and isn’t actually well written in its reasoning for pairing the main characters. At this point I think authors see a popular trope and run with it but cannot be bothered to structure out a proper narrative map. It’s just lazy.

I like groveling arcs and the entertainment value of MLs like this (just cause i like/get catharsis from smth in a story doesnt mean ill condone that shit irl). It's nice to see when someones bad behavior bites them in the ass cause they fall first or harder. And in terms of assholes this isn't smth ive never seen before. But yhis guy literally manipulated an entire club to associate MC with bullying just because he thought he was being hit on. And it's homophobic as hell cause he treats girls that like him differently. And now he's hitting on MC more shamelessly than he accused him of doing in the first place. Everything about that just makes no sense and I wish it was acknowledged cause what???
