I have only read up to chapter 3 but this whole turning him into "the perfect man" thing is putting me off. Like... You are trying to prove them wrong by proving them "right", by turning him into someone they always wanted... If you think that he was already a good person to being with, you could have stand up for him instead of trying to change his appearance and turning him into someone he isn't
