I just feel like the author dragged the story unnecessarily long making the male lead seem more like a bad person for no good reason ... Now before people start to come at me for this , hear me out , so much happened within their (both uke and seme's) monologues that a thing which merely started as a thought or let's say an idea , that could have taken some shape if even one of them were to speak their mind to each other , it wouldn't have turned out to be this ugly ... Yep , there ways of loving or showing their love might be fucked up , but there's no denying that THEY BOTH CAUGHT TRUE FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER WAY BACKKKK ... but the misunderstanding plot dragged on wayyyy long and even more misunderstandings were formed . I won't say that seme treated the uke right all the way , but yes , he was trying( reference to the monologues where he remembered about what his father said about the uke being scared) and yes , WE KEEP FORGETTING that the seme is no ordinary person but a thug , so he had a lot to learn ... He was having a character development but his feelings never made out of the monologues until the his every act was being misinterpreted by the seme as sheer debt repayment because of all the past trauma and hyper-independence the uke had developed over the years . They both were hurting , trying to figure out how to love , whether or not to love , but were too scared to love ... None of their characters can be strictly labelled as good or bad , they were just too HUMAN ... NEGLECTING WHAT MOST HUMANS DO NEGLECT , EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION ... Anyways , I hope they learn to rely on each other and communicate soon

I'm just infuriated because the author kinda delved on the idea of making the seme look total trash or escalating misunderstandings so bad , that somewhere along the way , I guess around chapter 50 or so , their dialogues stopped making sense , both of them , THEY WERE EITHER TOO OVERWHELMING FOR A PARTICULAR SCENE OR TOO UNDERWHELMING ... For eg, when in one of the chapters the seme thought that uke was trying to commit suicide and the seme back hugged him, the seme threw a very strong , like I don't know oddly strong dialogue "you deserve to have killed me" ... Like even if the seme didn't treat the uke princess-good or good , that dialogue felt exaggerated... Way heavy .. I guess the author wanted to make it look spicier with the heavy dialogues but it was hard to digest based on the situation ... Similarly, ever since the misunderstanding thing started , many dialogues monologues felt misplaced or too heavy for either of their guilt ... Both seme and uke made bad decisions , real bad , but the portrayal of their emotions became very misleading at some places , not just between the two of them , but to the one reading too . I was like "where did that come from ?" the whole time

I see what you mean and you’re right but I lowkey enjoyed these misunderstandings, I feel like if the author had ended the story a while ago it just wouldn’t feel complete and it would kinda just be like a dull boring story, the extra drama and struggle in this series is what keeps me going cause it has its funny moments and sad moments etc, doesn’t really seem unnecessary to me and besides ending it way before wouldn’t make sense because we still gotta find out more about Euihyuns parents (specifically his other dad), like I said, the story would not feel complete

I see what you mean ... But I'm specifically talking about parts wherein the misunderstanding thing was dragged to a point that it made no sense altogether , there were some ... And I also wrote this after reading all those comments blaming the seme entirely and finding him unlikeable , etc . People didn't really understand the grey areas .. both seme and uke weren't really ideal and made more of mistakes and learning from them .. their characters have much more depth than plain right or wrong . And idk how others would take it , but seme had been trying in his own way

And it's super refreshing to know that my comment made sense to you haha ... I wrote it while half dozing ( I just had to cuz some of the comments got me and the story too )

i understand where ur coming from but also i think misunderstandings are fitting of their relationship considering that their relationship bloomed from a power dynamic of debtor and indebted so i think there were so many turbulent and negative emotions involved which probably prevented them from realizing their feelings / talking to one another / or rather, not talking to one another.
