Am I the only one?

I feel like MC has lost his personality over the last few chapters... he went from a snarky and confident "god" to a small leaf trembling with the tiniest bit of wind.. I kinda miss him being strong willed.

it could be similar to how some people can speak and act well with strangers, but with people they know they start to act awkward or shy (well at least I’m like that). I think Sunwo’s past is catching up to him that he hasn’t healed from.

That's a good point! I was also thinking if the awful incidents with Ver made him act in a quieter manner, so I'm hoping it's planned and that his sassy personality comes back in the future

I mean, he's been through a lot. It ain't easy to stress all the time about keeping his act up, and there's also the abuse he's suffered through Vercion and how he's catching feelings for Albis AAAND the fear of them leaving him once they find he's a fraud. And I guess it is planned to be this way since other characters noticed those changes in him

this is similar to what you said but im pretty sure it's this common psycological phenomenon called "associative regression"
basically when you find yourself around someone from your past you unconsciously revert back to the person you were back when first knew them
and ofcourse this can also be triggered by trauma
which seems to be the case here
