yeah i love the story as well, i just thought that their love story was not necessary? like the author could have made something enterely different without making it "oh well she stalked him for years and was super toxic until he gave up and now they are in love"... they didnt have to romantized something so wrong for nothing (since i bet this is never going to be a focus in the story later)
Seeing it in positive light, maybe her persistence and shameless behaviour to get the man she wants shows how much she wanted to get this man, so the man kinda find that side of her cute. Especially if the stalker is stalking out of love, not doing anything bad, and no other bad/disgusting intention aside from making him fall in love, and he did?? Which means he doesn't feel THAT bad about it. I mean they did tell the story but it's very short and we didn't get the full context. If he is bothered by her talking so much and feel bad about it, someone on his caliber could just ignore it. I mean Katherine is pretty cute herself. Maybe she just have some possesive and ambitious personality to begin with. In the end its the duke that chose her though.
I mean tbf, wasn't it kinda normal for a girl to stalk their crush on every single social media or for example at school, trying to grasp their schedule or things he did just to get closer to them? Its just like that but in their time there are no social media sooo.... not as toxic as you guys are thinking it was.
nah bro the way they portrayed, with her even using her father to MAKE HIM marry her (meaning, by that time, he DIDNT love her), it is toxic lol
i agree the outcome was the best for her (and even for him, poor guy), but the way she did it was wrong
but yeah what you said about their time, you're probably right... in that time those tactics were probably really common
so katherine was a stalker that forcefully made the duke marry her and people are now romanticizing it? nice
