Same! I'm finding it hard to find system-based adventure webcomics without any harems or any action in general. Like I don't mind romance however when multiple females starts gain feelings for the MC, the story sometimes just goes off with the bizzare romance Arc or something. ┗( T﹏T )┛It drags the story off and becomes boring...I prefer when there's no romance and it mainly focus on the MC and his journey with companions, whether it's female or male. I guess companionship is more of my thing. Though this is only my thoughts, others might like these types of stories.(⊙…⊙ )
Is it me or did system-based adventure webcomics start to be all harem or with prominent romance lately?
The target audience changed from general audience to men and you can feel it. When the genre started picking up it had very even parties, with beautiful and fleshed out men and women as companions of equal standing and importance to MC, if there was romance it was like very subdued and only fully picked up by the end of the story, because all characters were focusing on surviving.
Its not that the public changed but… Now it seems like the genre was turned into a trope and a bunch of harem/ecchi/romance writers jumped into it, to the point where it's hard to find adventure stories that don't feature harem. (and by harem I mean an ensemble made mainly of women and where the few men have little importance to the always-male MC). Like, can I get system adventure stories where I don't physically feel "this was written for men to read" at every chapter?
