the prince is basically a sociopath. he doesn't trust other people and doesn't care about them at all. He thinks MC is suspicious and doesn't trust him. he hears about MC's childhood friend who is in love with one of the prince's fiance canidates. the girl and the childhood friend are planning to get married and the prince finds out, so he makes her his fiance so that they cant get married. then he makes a deal saying that he will break the engagement if MC keeps him alive till his coming of age.
the prince thinks of MC as his property/pet. he starts getting obsessed with him. when he sees MC having fun and laughing with his childhood friend, he gets jealous and cuts them off. He fabricates treason and threatens to have the childhood friend put to death. MC offers up his body in return for childhood friend being pardoned. ML is very abusive. he keeps MC confined and tells him to act like a doll. eventually MC finds out he was tricked. he starts starving himself and deteriorates. finnally he gets rescued and escapes with another character.
somehow MC still fell in love with ML when ML finally catches up to him they confess their love. I stopped there so i dont know what happens after.
the fact that they still end up loving eachother is wild!! now I'm scared to read this any further...thank you for elaborating
