Some points I understand, but I think they can be explained somehow
Like, the first one, I also didn't understand how Raphael started to like her so quickly, but her brother, I think it's because it takes him back to when they were children. Of course, these are from the current chapters, but he considers Cayena's "betrayal", the moment when she offered the position of emperor to Raphael and said that she would only love him forever. That's what she did at the beginning to Rezef, and it took a few chapters for him to "trust" her, but when he saw that she really had that intention. But I also don't know where her intelligence came from lolol
The second is simply because Rezef doesn't want anyone to "steal" her from him, like Raphael, in his head, did previously. She "abandoned" him for Raphael and "betrayed" him (Of course it's all in his head). And he already knew that she intended to escape from there. The โfreedomโ she had mentioned. He doesn't care about the people she loves, he just wants her all to himself. With no one to get in the way with the risk of making her "betray" on him again.
The fifth is because she cares about Raphael, and is afraid that using him will cause him to suffer the same fate as Nanny, in a way, she makes this fear very clear. Maybe it doesn't make so much sense because he is extremely powerful, he would hardly be killed, but it's her point of view I think. She's clearly in love with him again, and doesn't want to involve him in this, she wants to resolve things alone and save whoever she cares about (it includes Raphael).
Oh hmm I do understand these points, but again I feel they are forcefully made to make sense.
Another thing I feel is the story and characters hype Kayena up too much. The king trusted her so much, that white hair villain guy, and others keep saying she's a genius and dangerous and whatnot...
Well I dropped it for now, can u tell me what happens after she gains magic?
I'm butting in, but I'm sorry it's not about magic.
The king isn't trusting Cayena. He's using her to hurt Rezef too. He knows Rezef is obsessed with Cayena. So if the relationship between the siblings deteriorate, all the better for the king. And when Cayena expressed that she wished for Rezef to die too, the King gave Cayena power 2nd only to himself. He's not doing it because Cayena would make a better ruler. He's doing it because Rezef dying from Cayena's hands would please him more.
His love child. The silver haired little prince. Tbf, I think Cayena wants that child to be king too. But he's too young, physically and politically weak right now to go against Rezef. Cayena can't wait for little prince to grow up to protect her, and so she tries to grab for power temporarily to decrease Rezef's power while protecting herself and planning her escape
Mhmm thank you everyone for answering so well about the plot. The art is lovely and I would honestly like to read ahead but something just bugs me... like smthn feels wrong. Maybe i understood the characters wrong, and can't shake off the impressions. Anyways, I will put this on hold and happy reading to u guys!
You're welcome. I do understand where you're coming from when you commented that everyone suddenly loves the rebirthed Cayena.
It's also revealed that Rezef isn't the King's biological son. The queen had an affair with the ML's dad. So king hates Rezef, ML's dad hates ML; because both are products of forced/arranged marriage. King loves someone else. Queen and ML's dad love each other. Everyone's unhappy and abused their unwanted children.
Rezef became a psycho. ML is uncomfortable with physical touch. Both found comfort with FL. Rezef and Cayena did have real sibling affection when they were children. But when Cayena fell in love with ML and expanded her social circle, Rezef became possessive. Young/immature Cayena also tried to court ML by saying "if you marry me, you will be emperor, not Rezef". So Rezef felt betrayed, Rezef threw away Cayena in the 1st life, and Rezef hates ML in both lives.
Rezef is psycho, but he didn't start as one. All the abuse and Cayena's "betrayal" pushed him to that edge. I am curious if the author will kill him or redeem him. Hopefully the emotional sibling incest he feels for Cayena disappears.
I am on ch 75 and the story feels a bit...off? Like puzzle pieces forcefully fitted together.
1. Everyone fell in love with Cayena too fast once she regressed/transmigrated.
2. Rezef killed her nanny despite knowing how much she meant for Kayena.
3. Kayena acts like she wants freedom, but her preparations are hoarding political power. She acted like she had a plan for getting kidnapped, but ends up getting saved and faints for a day, then uses a dumbass way to get that uhh abusive mf killed.
4. Suddenly she wants magical power? And she gets ancient telekinesis power....like...will u go fight in the field now?
5. Rafael obviously loves her, she likes him too, marrying him can get her out of imperial palace. Why does she not use it? Instead, she sacrificed her entire life left to get the magic. Now is romance even an option?
6. Her intelligence (?) makes no sense. From rebirth, all she did was act stupid then get abused. From past life, she was a normal office worker. Her knowledge is plot armor nonsense.
