I think Sasya never had a great desire for fatherhood, he just thought it wouldn't be fair to leave the child in an orphanage when he was able to give him a better life. And I also think that the attachment to Charles was more related to the fact that it was like having a little Karel by his side
I wish Sasya cared more about Charles. He doesn’t spend any time with him and just drops him on levin like he’s her responsibility. Like you have a whole kid now you can’t just leave him I should’ve known he didn’t care when he only really adopted the baby cause he looks like karel.
