She has no power to stop the system if it's Royal family who allows this type of thing so just taking Kian, a man who will kill the nobility and herself was enough to stop such a tragedy. This is about survival, of course it would seem like the FL is selfish and hypocritical but she just wants to survive. I don't believe she's taking her kindness either as she does get worried about him.
