Uh-oh.
I was hoping they would have time to talk about their mothers and bond a little (trauma bonding, yayyy). They both are so precious, I don't want them to suffer or stop talking to each other :c

It wouldn't be trauma bonding between them because they're not in a toxic relationship. A trauma bond is what a victim and abuser have. Many people mix it up so I get the confusion

I did look it up, on multiple sources, even the first result is "Trauma bonding is an unhealthy emotional attachment to someone who causes you physical, emotional, and/or sexual harm." It would be nice to check your facts before you say others to do so.

It's interesting how people changed the meaning then

I still think it's okay to use it in this meaning with a context, on a forum, where people would understand what you mean.

Anyway, Channy, if you read it, thank you for sharing, it also works as slang, I didn't know that, it was interesting!

my bad but it’s pretty obvious that op was talking about the slang definition, phrases/words don’t strictly have one meaning

I mean it means both. Now most people use it in a way that means two people who have trauma share each other’s stories and bond over it. Basically getting closer by knowing each other’s darkest memories. Many words aren’t used for one meaning only and over the years people tend to add more meanings and uses for words.
