There was no need to get Goh involved in the past. The guy would have thought the mother ran away with his drugs and either been weened off of them eventually, or he would do what he "needed" to do to aquire some more. Either way it's weird that the mother and 1st elopement guy were no longer together but they both contacted Goh indirectly about the same thing at the same time. It is also odd that she did all of that only to do a drive-by on her old house but says nothing to her progeny in the process. Useless chapter.
