Well genetics do play a great role so a child is mixture of both. Im just saying sometimes siblings look vastly different too.
Well good parents do love their children equally. But favouritism does happen many households.

I read some theory about why a child resemble (either) of their parents, its because they love their partner more than their partner loves them like:
if the child resembles the mom, the dad loves the mom so much and vice versa. its like their love physically manifested to the child because they love the other spouse to much.
