No. She's not official 'lady of the house'. And she just love her husband that's why she choose to stay in that house for 5 years. And she had no control of some things that going there. Someone (both male and female) can be abused by their partners family members while the partner gas lights them about it and leads to them distrusting themselves. It's actually one of the more common forms of abuse in relationships.
