I think Shounen Ai means that the story is BL without smut. I don’t think it being chinese means that it’s Shounen Ai lol
However, I think that a lot of people don’t really fully know what to put with the shounen ai tag, so maybe that’s why they hadn’t tagged it as shounen ai. Or they have smut in the future (but most chinese bl don’t sooo) (i am not 100%sure)
