Yep. I read that novel and I was legit pissed by the end and the White Lotus girl doesn't get ANY better at all but at least Killian and Edith get a happy ending.
I'm reading another Villainess manhwa...I can never remember the name, but her name is Reilynn Candumion and the ML is supposed to be the Leopard boy/guy. Anyway, just learned the White Lotus wasn't necessarily abandoned. Her situation was bc she did it to herself bc of how her parents are. I dont want to say too much just in case you havent read it or if you are, but havent gotten updated yet.
But what I'm trying to say is you're right, it's always the abandoned ones, but with the one with Reilynn, the White Lotus has a hurt ego, inflated pride, and unaccounted for sociopathic tendencies.
