Honestly speaking to everyone here who has a problem with ray being „a minor“ and talking about the age gap and stuff…….. technically speaking ray is older than our ml. It‘s not your typical age gap and ray is not your typical minor. The reason why there are laws in place forbidding certain action between an „adult“ and a „minor2 is because said minor up to a certain age is not yet able to form his own opinion because their brain is still underdeveloped and they are easily influenced, manipulated and prone to being used and groomed by adults. Hence when they reach an age where their brain is fully developed and they can make decisions solely based on their own experiences and they have gained an understanding of the world around them, the they are allowed to do certain acts with each other. So based on this reasoning I honestly don’t see the problem here because ray literally already had an entire life where he was a grown up adult. He fully remembers everything. He did not start anew meaning his brain did not revert. His brain is a fully developed adult brain in the body of a minor. So technically speaking he is a small adult and completely aware of his surroundings and the choices he makes. Therefore I see no problem with their relationship. Ray knows how jiskar tics and he#s got him figured out as all the last chapters suggest, even more so than jiskar has ray figured out. So honestly if you wanna come at me for liking this story and reading „over the age gap“ then please do I don’t care lol
I totally understand your point, and I'm sorry if I expressed my ideas wrong. The problem wasn't Ray being „a minor,” it was Jiskar doing it with 'body of a minor' and noncon. It's uncomfortable to think that he CAN/ POSSIBLY do those things with just anyone, forcibly. but that's for another story. I hope it makes sense; it's hard to explain, and I'm sorry, I'm just trying to express my own opinion on that matter.(￣∇￣")

Body and status. Honestly the thing that bothers me more than minor’s body or mental age is the power dynamics. Ray is admirable and hella strong mentality wise but he is a slave. And Jiskar has taken advantage of that fact in every possible way. From forcefully snatching him from his home, to treating him as a sex slave (which btw happened because of Jiskar) and keeping him changed. I don’t need to go into details but he could do all of that without repercussions because of their u balanced statuses.
Personally Ray can use him all he wants but I don’t want him to forgive Jiskar.

Ah yeah I get what you mean! From jiskar‘s pov it does seem quiet bad…. From a modern standpoint. Unfortunately in the times that this is set in the world was a different one where slaves had no free will and were basically objects and age difference didn’t matter especially when a noble was involved.-…-. So not to defend jiskar for his actions but that attitude of his regarding the unhealthy dynamics of their relationship and his ignorance of the circumstances does kinda fit the time…. But of course still bad.
It was such a nice sight to see the author's portrayal of Ray's character true to his revnoad character. I agree with you. It's hard to forgive jiskar and move on, so I will wait and see what our amazing ray will do from now on. I just hope that this will not be rushed like the others I have read. I'm not trying to compare them, though, it's just that I preferred slow burn.

Yes I love his character’s consistency too. You can see the strength from his previous life and it’s there consistently. I really hate it when characters become dumb or weak for the sake of the plot. There should be a redemption arc for Jiskar
