Being attracted to a man is what makes you gay. He is attracted to our mc, who he at the moment thinks is a man. But I think those are two different things.
But at the same time. I think Ignis is only straight because our mc is a girl. In another universe where she is a guy he would fall for her again and then be gay.
So like. It's not about what genders he is attracted to, but what gender *she* is yk.
Eeeh, sure I think I agree. My comment was supposed be pretty light-hearted and rough around the edges, so to make it more precise:
Since Ignis already seems to have had an early mid-life crisis falling for what he thinks is a dude, what if his ex-fiance will be in a similar situation as him (ex-fiance x witch)? But I do like the thought of some gay representation in a gender bender manhwa which by nature deals with the concepts of gender and sexuality.
But in the end it's useless to put specific lables on them bc honestly, the gender bender feels like nothing more than a plot point in this manhwa, and not a great one seeing as we're over 100 chapters in already (as you said, it's the MC's gender that matters). I was calling Ignis bi to by-pass having to go into the details.
Highly doubt the author put all that much thought into anyones sexuality tho.
Also there's no doubt it's gonna be the soulmate type of love, otherwise Ignis is just gonna look even more confused sexuality-wise.
Yo imagine the witch is like actually a guy. I do hope we get to see some gay representation, since poor Ignis is basically bi at this point we're theoretically already there, but another fake-out (if you can call it that) wouldn't surprise me honestly.
