And let's be honest here. She would've gotten the credit anyway if she's not greedy wanting 100% credit like the og mc. And even without the "omg she's the one who made the cure" she would still stand above others. Considering her other friends already made 1. An information guild (obv she's gonna have the percentage because she's one of the founders) 2. Helping the movements that talent matters the most for being the family's head not the gender 3. She's the heir of the dukedom 4. She has relation with the prince
As far as stealing credits....technically, isekai'd MCs always do it. A lotta times we see them getting with the ML when the heroine was supposed to or because they've read the novel or played the game, they know information and events before hand and use them to their advantage to either take, perform, etc.
You're right about that, but seriously, the line when she goes (I feel sorry but I have no choice, I'm risking my life here) was so out of the place. The point is her character is getting soft. If you want to steal somebody's credit in some future that haven't happend yet and help them through anyway just go do it. Don't suddenly feel bad and thinking that feeling bad abt it makes you a better person? What I felt toxic is her thinking that her friend is a mere disposable pawn that will gives anyone credits anyway.
Yes you are right--I see exactly what you are saying. There is a difference here in what she's doing than what we've seen others. I feel like with others, when the MCs use people, they keep a wall up and while being somewhat cordial with them, they don't get too close (Of course, MLs are excluded for obvious reasons.), as far as forming/having a relationship goes. We see something in Kill the Villainess and Death is the only ending for the Villainess.
But here---you're right---she's practically being best friends with the girls, while using them with a smile on her face. I believe in one scene, she blatantly thought to herself "You're such a sweet girl. Too bad I'm using you." or something along those lines. I admit that it does rub me the wrong way. No one likes a person who uses you, but smiles in your face and does nice things for you to make up and excuse what they've done bad.
Oh yeah, when you explained it I understood exactly what you were saying bc there were quite a few times where I had to raise an eyebrow and some shady Rosaria said and did. Honestly....if I was Lady Cheddar and the other one, I would feel grateful for what she is doing for me, but I would reeeeally need to know what the catch or reason is bc what she's doing and helping with is a really big deal that involves a lot of money and pressure on status
I can understand what you meant
It's obvious that our mc have some grey morals. But in other stories the villainess acting villainous includes morality or too much tactics which seems wow they're some cool person. But in this story she's using such low tactics (like hoho I'm stealing credit by doing beforehand or hoho take my money and be mine followers forever type behavior) which I find more simple human kind nature.
Which seems more classical and simple to me .. that's it ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
And I wouldn't mind at all if she's the type that said take my money and be my follower forever, that shit happens at almost all comedic villainous themed manhwa/manhua/mangas. If you read her monologue again what she planned to do is just take mabelle (the one who will create the cure) to the first prince's (ML) garden and just took all her hardwork credits. And I think this is just laziness >_<. She even made up all excuses like she's in the right for taking all the credits. Well, I guess this is the first time I'm finding a mc using lame excuses for stealing someone else's credits.
Both leads are quite villainous and that's what I loved about this story
Other might seen it as toxicity or negatively but it's fun in here as a story of villainess
