Like, it was because a lot of those smut (yaoi) aren't erotic to me. And if it looses it's ONLY purpose of being erotic, it doesn't add or bring development to the story sooo it's kinda useless and boring.
If that is how you feel, I'd recommend switching to the "shounen ai" tag instead, if you enjoy the bl storylines but don't want to read smut.
My biggest issue with all of the smut is so much of it lacks intimacy. Even with "passionate" couples it just comes off as so robotic and indifferent.
No I do read shounen-ai but the ones that I come across always seem to have too much slow burn. I can tolerate it most of the time but I lose patience a lot so it’s easier for me to read yaoi since they’re typically more fast pace. I also have really high expectations for shounen-ai and I haven’t found any that appeal to me as much as “Jazz For Two”, “Here U Are”, “Never Understand” and “Heesu in Class 2”
SAMEE i agree with you tbh. most yaois now have the most boring ass cliche sex scenes and barely any real intimacy or passion between the characters. and then it goes on for so many chapters in a row and then the bottom starts being all like "i'm t-tired can we s-s-s-top please" after they've been fucking for literal hours as if that's even fucking realistic?? like NAH SKIP that shit pisses me off and gives me the ick i have to skip that bullshit lmao. i skip most of the smut scenes when it's repetitive and boring like in jinx that god forsaken story.
BUT there are some stories that genuinely have real proper sex scenes that are well made and make sense in the story. or when you can feel the love between them like you're intruding on them just by reading. anyway if you'd like i recommend stories like love sick dog, high clear, & fangs they have top tier love making done right. also i'm sure you've probably read lost in the cloud that's also a really fucking amazing shounen ai if you haven't give it a read.

Dude LITERALLY I was crying reading this reply I’m so tired of the “s-s-s-s-s-stop I can’t anymore…!” And the seme is just plowing the guy for like 4+ chapters. LITC is actually a gem I wish there were more stories like it
right like all the popular yaois have that scene in it i immediately want to gouge my eyes out seeing that shit. and YES LITC is so so so good barely anything compares
NO I AGREE WITH YOU SO MUCH. every single fucking scene in every typical Yaoi now is just the ikr going “n-no, stop, s-stop” and that line is keeps getting repeated for the next 4 chapters that they’re still SOMEHOW having sex in. And also why is it that all these takis have a set routines of going abt their days and then they go home or get to the car and suddenly they’re animals in heat fucking like they haven’t scene each other in months..like how is this realistic AT ALL???
right it's so overdone and it pisses me off at this point this is why i barely read any of the popular yaois anymore unless the plot is actually interesting.
Guys is it just me or are you getting sick of reading all the smut in yaois. I love the story lines most of the time but when there’s a chapters or multiple chapters back to back that are full smut, I just scroll to the bottom and skip to the next chapter.
