I think it may have to do with how she behaves towards him in the alternate timeline. Since she was so clingy and she knows that he saw her as a nuisance, she probably doesn't want to stay at his house and is pushing for the annulment to avoid annoying him like she did before. Don't forget she was in love with him and it's not like he did anything to make her not love him, she simply gained perspective on her actions and decided not to pursue anything with him,. So while she acts coldly towards him it's likely she still finds him attractive and doesn't want him to hate her anymore than she thinks he already does.
