the plot isn't bad, you just can't read

I don't get why so many people hate on mc running away or not being a "kickass badgirl girlboss", like if you want she-hulk, go watch she-hulk, have fun ╮(￣▽￣)╭

she acts as strong as she can for a sheltered noble in her current position. given the situation, doubt any of y'all would be able to act like her or think of such a way out. her country was trampled, her family killed and now she has to bear a child with the enemy - even if ml wasn't the one to invade her kingdom, he's still her captor and brought her to execution.
still no clue about why they invaded in the first place, maybe because the emperor is a bastard. perhaps we'll get to know as the story unfolds.

ml is treating her like a person of respect because she IS, still, even if it's with superficiality only. yeah, kinda effed up, but that's human society for ya. pretty realistic tbh.
and he also has a tad of fondness for her as he saw her once in the past which is also a reasonable reason for him to want to treat her properly, at least while he is responsible for her. he does not love her yet which is also why he would've her gotten executed but not watched her die. I don't even think he "loves" her at the point in time where she runs away tbh.

she hurts herself with the blade as she is "to be delivered unharmed" and would prolong their journey + have ml personally stay with her to stop her from harming herself again (not included to killing herself, that is allowed, just, you know, generally hurting herself). so everyone can testify later that yes, indeed, princess and knight were together in a tent by themselves 24/7. he even followed her to the lake aherhejrnek

in the flashback she runs away because her contract is up, she doesn't know she is pregnant and thinks she'll be killed due to being exposed as a liar now, to the emperor that is (who pretty much promised her a very cruel death in that case). only in the morning is the result of her blood test done.
i dunno how blood tests are done here, but maybe some sort of technological / magical advancement? Did you realize this is a fantasy story not set on this earth but on a whole different planet and in a whole different universe?

I really enjoy the story so far and am excited to see how things turn out. Literally saving every panel with ML in it. He's a whole new type of handsome, despite the cliché color palette.
The translation is bad at times and makes things a bit confusing history-wise (at first I thought each magic circle could only be used once xD) but I can live with that. Maybe officials will be uploaded someday.

If you can't bear this or are too caught up in your bubble to understand the plot, instead of misunderstanding yourself (mc isn't doing any of that, you are lmao), just go read your usual cliché crap where the mc beats everyone up by herself and falls in love with the ML literally two seconds after saying she wouldn't ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
