Yeaah, I really like the artstyle, character design! It seems to be a combination of 2D, 3D, AI ヾ(☆▽☆) styles, and it looks nice!

I think it’s a little more than just the gear and the gun. I think the over-reliance on 3D models, 2D assets and brush presets is what gives it that uncanny AI feel. Don’t take this as me critiquing them. Models, assets and presets are super useful for ppl who are just starting out in comic making and for creators with tight deadlines. all the accessories (watch, belt, necklace, earring, etc), the shoes, the backgrounds and even some of the nipples were not drawn by the artist. The background characters are also assets. And I think the biggest contributor is the traced 3D model poses. Nothing wrong with that because every webtoon artist has done that but it can lead to the uncanny valley feel. It’s personal preference but it only actually bothers me because I start treating it like ‘I spy’ and try finding all the assets and models the artist used for future ref.
I agree ^^! As an artist myself I do find the use of assets and models helpful in some situations but, I do rely on my own skills to manage. In addition the artist's skill, I think having a deadline can push this reliance of these assets so I can't really comment too much about it but yeah, sometimes I notice the slight uncanny look XD.
The style looks cute but I think some may confuse the usage of 3D models or assets as AI. The military body gear + gun seem to be 3D assets. Everything else is drawn fine ^^.
