People are who people are. The conversation was extremely toxic, yea. Let’s not forget the implications that are being made here though. He uses the phrase “my family” a lot in the conversation to emphasize that he really had no intention of doing this on his own. Also based on the picture of the child shown while having the conversation that was him and not Siyeon sitting in the chair while he was speaking of his family. In all honesty I think he’s arrogant but self-hating. And so many people are like this when they are “blessed” with some kind of talent that can help their family. I doubt he has the best relationship with his family and if they were preparing him for whatever from a young age I doubt his emotional growth grew in a humane way. He’s repeatedly said “we’re just animals in human form” and I’m pretty positive that’s what he really thinks. I think that is him trying to be as humanly possible as he can within his understanding. Obviously his family isn’t very humane.
I'm not sure about the rest. But when he mentioned "animals in human form" he was referring to the beastly nature of omegas n alphas, not his upbringing. He's angry that he's tied down to an omega and is at the mercy of nature & animalistic traits n desire to mate, bond, & procreate w/ an omega during his ruts n not having any control over himself.

true, but at the same time it seems to be implied that his ideologies are based on his own upbringing. from the way he subtly alluded to his past it’s clear he doesn’t have a good relationship with his family, which is likely influenced by whatever they taught him growing up. based on other omega verse stories similar to this one, the ml is probably the type who was pressured to act a certain way because of the expectations placed on him as a dominant alpha that has in turn made him into who he is. lmao but like all the others, he’ll be toxic at the start and then the author will make him soften towards the mc as he falls for him, leaving his past behaviour to be forgotten about
is there any need to make the ml this toxic? their conversation sounded so overly melodramatic when it was fundamentally just a matter of protecting the mc and their child from the rest of his family. he could’ve just taken the kid from the mc without marrying him and carried on living his life regardless of them being mated but he didn’t so i don’t think he’s got evil intentions.
