i personally actually liked the flashback. i wish the old dude's lonely journey and the mental tribulations he went through was shown more by keeping the psychopath's story shorter. it would make it easier for readers to understand his illness rather than it being kept as a silly dog illusion illness. i believe the flashback was really important as it's the whole foundation of the story. overall enjoyed it and glad the artist took their time with it. i kinda forgot about the second couple but reading the few chapters before the flashback fixed that. really excited to read more
