Actually, there are a lot of four year olds that talk like that. All children are different. Some have more vocabulary than others. So I’m not really surprised that the kid is able to speak and think.

I agree that the kid seemed a bit TOO young for his ability to speak and think. That kid looked like a 3-4 year old, max. What four year old talks like that? lol. It's understandable that a young 4 year old child would cling to their parents, that's how children are. That's also the time you kind of want to slowly introduce your children to the concept of boundaries. You don't want your child to grow up to be a brat.
The kid may seem "realistic" because of his attachment to his father, but people often underestimate how much children don't change going into adulthood when parents never teach them from right to wrong and spoil them and bid by their whims all the time.
