Agree you on that part bl is more interesting than shojo but every genre has different shades so there are some romantic and healthy bl as well and than it goes down to earth with toxicity that most of people enjoy ( i also do ) but using bl for sexual pleasure damn that's not good. i agree that seinen and just male-targeted manga in general involve a lot of sexualization of women and fanservice, but the thing is that that's a man and a woman, with bl its two men and the audience is women, so in addition to sexualizing men (which i dont get because either way its part of the genre), you're also sexualizing gay relationships
