We also can assume that none of the kids have an adult figure at that time so the girl wasnt that well educated

I’m much calmer than I was when I read this, I think it’s because I related a lil too much to him. I understand why she was the way she was, but I just still can’t understand why he seems to completely ignore the affects children have on each other. It’s kind of like “at least it’s not the demon clan” but in either case is wrong for his psyche.
This will be my most conversational take ever but I’m confused on his bias, like I understand that he’s preventing him from being evil but he watched them purposefully leave him out by climbing a tree and only stopping once he was going to chop a tree. He saw how they reacted to him needing extra care for being sick, I really don’t like the girl at all. I don’t care that’s she a traumatized child, he is too and yet she doesn’t care. Hope that deer beat her up, not kill her tho. She might be redeemable.
