The title of the manga says it all

Really disappointed about this one, the comment that got me reading it was talking about how it discussed prejudice against women, but you really don't see any of that after the first few chapters, the mc is the annoying time of friend who completely disappears after getting a boyfriend, just to come crying to you about their problems when they break up, like you haven't stopped talking 2year ago. And don't even get me started on te ml and the brother, I find it crazy that the brother would make so many changes to the way the tea farm is run and not even discuss it with his sister, he really just abandoned her the moment she got out of their house, then, after she gets back, he makes no efforts to cluing her into what's going on, doesn't tell her they have a new worker on the house, and it was very clear that she didn't even know he had a fucking child. He also: doesn't help around the house at all and only helps selling tea when it's absolutely necessary.
The comments have said it all about the ml, he is selfish and self-centred, he is sexists, also doesn't help the fl with her adjustments back at the farm, but then also expected she would know how to help around, like??? We have to go along with his whole "I'm doing this while thinking of her" stick but most of the time he just ignores her and pretend like she isn't also a human being with wants and needs.
The fl has no character whatsoever, her brother literally doesn't do anything to the story, the ml is sexists and uncaring and the only supporting characters that I like is Jin, futaba gets a pass BC she is a child, but I still think it's crazy that we get more emotional background information to explain her (and Jin too, kinda) reasoning of acting like that, then we get with either of the mc, disappointing

Also, after the ex is arrested (I assume, since we never fucking see what happened after shiin got him) we never go back to the fl "trauma", never mentions her last marriage or the life she had before the farm, the manga completely gives up on the intricacy it had for a tired,, undermining, boring and problematic love story, it doesn't go anywhere.
and from the first chapter, we are made to assume that the siblings family died when they were young, that's why the fl was basically sold off to some rando family (which the brother was totally ok with), but then shiin knows their dad?? What is the timeline? How much time has passed since she went away? Since the story started?? I thought she came back after 4 years, and that her parents weren't in the picture since she was a child, but then when she comes back: futaba is already 4 but she never met her mom, I'm so confused

Ironic that it starts off feeling like it addresses sexist environments and how we get to see a strong FL. But then she ends up with a sexist guy who seesaws around on how he treats FL. It's like, she should be thankful for those little tidbits of romance she gets when he delves it out.

In regards to the bro tho, I can easily forgive him better. My best friend is married to a Japanese man and they live in Japan. Families don't really share much with each other. It doesn't help that they're also not much into social media. I mean, due to some fam drama, he's close to his parents coz he's the only one taking care of them (mom has dementia while dad has cancer and they're divorced so both living apart from each other) Meanwhile, his sisters (both older) could care less coz, according to them, 'we have families of our own to take care of. We really can't spare the time.'

So yeah. Bro I can somewhat understand given the culture but the ML is a no for me.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying all families are that cold but it's easier to find one that are like that rather than one who are super close to each other.

I guess I'm just so mad at the brother BC of my own world perspective, I really can't imagine just not talking to you family BC you also have kids now. I get what you said, but he still pisses me off

Understandable. I'm also having a hard time wrapping my head around how little care they show each other. I'm close with my bro so it's mind boggling. FL is like a pariah in her own childhood home. I dropped this for a while now. Around the time ML finally finished his stint. Honestly, the arc felt so forced to me. I just couldn't get into it anymore.
