Nah it seems like she hated the Duke and the dukes son and didn't consider him her son since he shared the dukes son. I think it was a political marriage

I was thinking that too but idk if it’s me misunderstanding but it seemed like they may have been cordial at one point due to some things he says

Idk it seems like he's pining for her. He definitely likes her even before not sure if it was mutual it seems one sided
