I can't believe...

I can't believe this is the same author who did "Walk on Water". WoW was such a thoughtful story with such convincingly realistic characters who, despite their equally traumatic backgrounds, were tender with each other, argued, repented, could also be cruel with words to each other, but who found a new way to each other in the end. "Under the Green Light" is so full of violence and, in terms of Jin and Matthew, features two characters that feel completely overdrawn at the moment. I can't believe either Jin or Matthew love each other. I don't know, maybe it will get better, but right now the story is not at all to my taste anymore or feels authentic. I'm missing the character development at the moment and real problem solving instead of just sex and rape. Why do all authors these days seem to think that sex is more important than a good and thoughtful story for us readers?! I'm sorry if some of you guys are a fan of this story, but I just wanted to express my opinion, please don't take it to heart.

Fr I love "Walk on Water". This has already 30 chapters out and the story is still a bit bleak. Would probably wait till this finishes then binge ( ̄∇ ̄")

I could be wrong, but I don't actually think it's the same author. As far as I'm aware, "Walk on Water" is a fairly faithful novel adaptation, and "Under the Green Light" is an original.

So one is Jaxx as an artist adapting another author's work, and the other is Jaxx doing all of the writing as well.

But, again, I might be misremembering things, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

to be fair walk on water also had a very uneccecwry rape scene which is the reason that whilst I had liked the story at first after that it made me not want to read it again whilst it wasn't as violent as this still horrible to read and wasn't taken seriously so honestly cant even say I'm suorised to see this from the authir but yh this is definitely a lot worse and I feel like it's only gonna keep getting worse

Ohh. If that's really the case then it does make sense.

Oh, I didn't know WoW is based on a novel! Well, that would explain why "Under the Green Light" in comparison feels so off to me for some reason.
