I have never read this story before. In my opinion, as an unbiased person who don't have any nostalgia over the old art style; I personally think that the original artstyle was a major downgrade from that of the promo. But I like the MC's facial maturity in it better than among all 3 styles. The new artstyle feels more polished and the pacing is just better. It takes more time to established MC than OG version.
