am i the only one who is bothered by the use of “brother” ??? like i wish they kept “hyung” or something bc for half of the story i thought they were step brothers fr fr

    It's a cultural thing to refer to everyone as family. Older brother, younger sister, auntie, grandma like thats all normal.

    yeah i know that’s why i said i wish they just kept it “hyung” as in the original language bc in english we don’t really say “brother”

    we say “bro” not in a “you’re a close person like famaily to me”. we say bro to literally just anyone so i don’t think it would be a good translation? i call everyone bro, even my own real brother so idk it just sounds too informal plus it doesn’t give the same level of closeness as “hyung” would
