It's precisely because Mikami loved Akari that he put Akari before his conscience. Akari was someone who easily got insecure, even more so because Mikami is straight. Like Akari said, he was worried if suddenly Mikami decided he couldn't do it with him in the end. If they didn't do it at that moment, insecurities would've kept on growing and gnawing at him, and he would've stayed anxious for 4 whole years. Then it wouldn't be for Akari's sake, but just Mikami's ego for not wanting to feel guilty doing it with a minor. Things aren't always just black and white, sometimes you need to do what's best for others in the situation you're in regardless of the ethics. The rules are made to protect minor from being manipulated and taken advantage of by adults. There's no manipulation here, and Mikami never took advantage of him. If keeping the rules only harm the one they suppose to protect, what's the use of being stubborn with them?
A 16 y/o with a 26 y/o.... That's fucked up as hell considering that Mikami even acknowledges it as a crime. I kept reading in the hopes that there will be a 4-5 years time skip in the future. If they loved each other that deeply, waiting 4-5 years shouldn’t have been any issue at all. The downvotes on the comments pointing it out is also disturbing as hell. Yall creeps justifying this shit.
"B-but he is not a child!!! He is in highschool and a teen!!!" and you are a creep too if you think fucking a teen isn't wrong. A 16 y/o is a child, PERIODT. There are children on this site and justifying this behavior is actually disturbing and harming to these people.
"Japan's age of consent is 16!!!!" Some countries have an age of consent of 11 or 12 or 13 y/o, does that mean a 30 or 40 y/o having sex with a 11 y/o is ok???? DO YALL HEAR YOURSELVES??? Age of consent doesn’t make it anymore ok.
