It’s rare in that it’s incredibly f*cked up, but also endearing with likable characters. I think that’s the key- if you’re going to write a twisted romance, at least give your morally bankrupt characters SOME appeal. And they do a great job at that here. You really care about Deeta, despite who/what he is.
Okay this series is inherently fucked and I usually have a moral code I follow when reading BL but idk why I throw the morals out the window when I read this series. It’s really funny and strangely cute and like wholesome for the main couple consisting of a murderer and his victim. It’s so fucking weird but like it’s strangely a light read that I enjoy coming back to oml
