This story gets to me. They should have let the gang know right away they were a couple. Then he could have followed Moo Young to the Vipers. Honestly, he would have killed his fellow gang members to protect Moo Young, that right there is the answer itself. I am not sure what the dealio is. Seems clear cut. The mc... is too soft to be a gangster, but is loved by his gang. This was his downfall in a way. The MC might very well use that last bullet to shoot himself in the head if he can't see a path. Moo Young is strong-willed enough to forge a path for both of them given a chance. Frustrating.
