Yeah, I get that too. But I think he's the type to go with the flow anyway and seems like his family runs a Yakuza style without the dangerous business, so it's more like a normal business. Being CEO isn't probably his best thing, but he's at least capable. That's what I told myself anyway..
also telling myself that and also someday he'd grow and mature to be a reliable leader that looks out for his group - which that in itself makes the job enjoyable for him haha
Yessss. Although I'm already seeing it because he seems to be very responsible and level-headed.
their relationship is cute and carefree for a yakuza story, it's refreshing
the only gripe i have is that takanari agreeing to succeed the group was more of him thinking "as i thought it has to be me" rather than "i want to do it". his realization stems from the fact that he's the one that's most aware of what's "normal" in the group and that he's accustomed to this "normal" so he's more suited and thus he does it. he mentioned in the first chapters that he disliked the conflict that's why he didn't wanna succeed so him changing his mind is obviously him getting pressured into the place rather than him loving it. especially that ayano was one of the stakes - which i really disliked and im glad it went away from that focus but it's still one of the catalysts as to why takanari started doubting his decision.
it's not enough for me to dislike the story though, just really don't like how the succeeding played out.
