Plagiarism is very common with novels and manga, manhwa, manhua. Authors don’t ever face any consequences and it’s generally not taken seriously.
But I hated the fact it become more popular than original one just cuz it's colorful
That happens all the time unfortunately. It’s hard to find anything unique. You try to read sth new and you feel like you're reading the same thing over and over because you pretty much are.

Check out the manga i mentioned in my comment you will know what I m talking about character design and storyline is same in webtoon one with little spices up and angst .
Concept is same except adding spiced up so called real drama into story and people read this one more than this manga.
