And I do understand that not all love is romantic but for this one this concept really doesn't apply, it feels like he was more in love with kido(cheater) than he's with bf, with his bf he just feel obligated to be with as if he settled for him...

this is my second time reading this and the first time probably made me cry. this time though, i just feel happy for all of the characters, well except Kido, poor man. Hope he finds his happinesses too .
Contrary to what I've seen in the comments, I think that both maic characters do love each other deeply, like you just cant tell me Kuzumi doesn't love Haru after saying sappy shit with those eyes that looked like theyre about to have hearts bursting out of them. Like HE LOVES THE MAN.
It's just that the main reason for this misconception is Kido, well, Kido is an important part of his life. Kido's been with him since he just started writing, he's been with him when his sensei died. Kido's been with him through thick and thin. Not wanting to part with him doesn't mean he has romantic feelings for him. I mean he loves him but not romantically. He loves him as someone who has been part of the most crucial moments of his life, and has not left after everything. It's safe to say he considers Kido his bestfriend.
(Also I just want to emphasize that not every feelings of love has to be romantic love. )
