READ THE NOVEL! ! ! ! ! then keep up with the manhua, ull appreciate it much more trust me (and yes this follows exactly like the novel as far as i know)

I think it’s quite close, so you could follow either depending on what you like the most, the Novel has extra details and the manhua is also detailed but gets more to the point. :)
It's better to read the novel as well since some parts gets cut off and will give more context to some characters plus some inner monologues of some characters that might not get included... there are only minor differences but pretty much the manhua follows the novel.
